Snidely WhiplashSnidely Whiplash A legend in his own mind.
Out with Patrick Quinn, in with Bruce Rauner. Although he is a ? on the NRA ranking list, he isn't an F like Quinn:
https://www.nrapvf.o.../Illinois/
He has stated he favors concealed carry and does not support an assault weapons ban: http://www.dailyhera...news/141008815/

I hope Rauner can shake some of the libtards out of the ISP and that just the fact that he got elected might cause a few anti-gun turds in the legislature to STFU and not vote against recognizing adjacent state's CCW permits.

Getting HB3650 would be great. http://www.ilga.gov/...cSess=&Session=

"Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Firearm Concealed Carry Act is amended by adding Section 42 as follows:

(430 ILCS 66/42 new)
Sec. 42. Reciprocity.

(a) Notwithstanding Section 40 of this Act, a non-resident may carry a handgun in accordance with this Act if the non-resident:
(1) is 21 years of age or older;
(2) has in his or her immediate possession a valid license or permit that authorizes him or her to carry a concealed firearm, issued to him or her by a state whose license or permit are recognized by the Department under subsection (b) of this Section; and
(3) is a legal resident of the United States.

(b) The Department shall recognize a license or permit issued by a state whose requirements to obtain a license or permit are substantially similar to the requirements in Section of this Act. When another state requires this recognition to be by reciprocal agreement, the Department shall enter into a reciprocal agreement with that state. States with substantially similar laws include, but are not limited to: Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin."

Now that the party is over, it's time for Illinois gun owners to contact their legislators and get this bill out of the Rules Committee and passed into law. Don't forget to have them add Indiana to the list of approved states for those people who have moved across that state line to follow a job. You might also suggest tourism might benefit from out-of-state vacationers traveling with concealed carry permits of their home states.
