  Have never been at a match where a whole bunch of shotgun was fired on a single stage. My shotgun belt only holds 8 rounds so if I could set shells on the table, I'd be game . . .

  Muddy, if we're on the same posse you can use my shotgun belt, it holds 20. And as for my good buddy Longtooth, the only sweep I want to see on big time shotgun is Left to Right or just for you we'll reverse it.

  I also have a belt that holds I believe eighteen shells that MGS can use. It's even big enough that it will fit him also.

  I think they're fun from time to time--Hang Um High does a good job with a stage or two of all shotgun each year, as I recall. <br />

  I wouldn't go to 8 or 10 on each stage regularly because it beats up some folks more than others and I like to see smiles, not bruises!

  I'd be game but something to think about. Not everyone has a shotgun belt that will hold 20 plus rounds. I suppose alowing to load from the bench would help. Another thing, let people know ahead of time. They might not bring enough shells for a 20 round stage.

  One big shotgun stage before the year is over. I'll see if we can try this in November, same month we draw for the 73 rifle.<br />

  How about, you bring a full box of shotgun shells to the line, and set that on the table, then you have to draw from the box---that would take care of the belt problem!<br />
  <br />
  Then, for our sweeps, we could have you shoot swingers(each side) then take down two poppers, back to swingers, back to poppers, back to swingers, than the last two poppers.<br />

  Shotgun stages with lots of rounds are fun but keep in mind that at Bristol you do have a lot of lady shooters and the shotgun does play havoc on their shoulders. Maybe you could write the stage limiting the amount of rounds the ladies have to shoot. Also, take into consideration the junior shooters. Just food for thought.

  Also, Tex you write it I'll shoot it. I may not shoot it correct and getting a procedual is not something new to me. I've had plenty and sure more on the way.   I enjoy shotgun stages ... I enjoy having moving stuff like Hang Um High. I also like team stages ... were we have to move something, cut through something, etc. If it is a stage where you get to fully load up before the start ... you do have to remember some may only have a double guns. <br />

  You will have some that may have some trouble physically, like my 12 yr daughter shooting a box of shells all at one time.<br />
  <br />
  I suggest that people have a choice of pulling shells from their belts or from a table. If people have a belt that holds 20 shells let them use it. Sound like we can find enough extra belts for people that want to use belts.

  I agree with Black Magic on the belt situation. Make it optional. I am used to loading from my belt and would rather use that than stage on the table. <br />

  So let's go Tex and make a big shotgun stage. We've never had to discuss in the past whether to have a shotgun stage or not. If you want one then go for it!<br />
