I don't know but it's a good thing JJ is out of town.  :good: If someone tells you where to get one, and he reads this, you could be in big trouble. I speak from experience.

Dice,

Hope this helps; didn't see a picture of the knife but folks said to e-mail the redwing folks and they would get back to you with prices & shipping, etc.

A smaller-sized one, in a sheath small enough to use as a scarf slide would be really neat.

Let me know if you get prices and all.

Dice,

Ive got Virgil working on a similar design with several enhancements. If you get after him as well, maybe we can get him moving a little faster. I know hes old and an all but he does good work. And besides hes one of our local cowboys.

Yes, definitely add me to your list of "those waiting", I would like one of your knives also; I can wait for next Spring; hopefully we'll be able to talk about features & $ before then. (if you saw my previous posting, I would like a little smaller type of knife, if possible)  Have a good trip in the meantime. :good:

I'm all for supporting a local cowboy and may be interested in one of Virgil's knifes.

I do feel I need to report having a very different experience with Redwing knifes than Dan reported.  I own several and their knifes - they are 1st class.  Redwing stand behind their work and they are great people to deal with.  My screwdriver knife has fixed a dozen firearms at the loading tables and removed some stubborn screws.  Redwing has been at the Utah CAS State Championship the last two years and by the last day most their knifes were gone ... I think this speaks tons about them.

That's my story ...

Hey pards, I'm with Black Magic on the Red Wing knife, I've had great success with mine, and the steel is great.  The handle is pretty plain wood on mine, and the sheath is like a summer camp craft project, but I bought it for the blade and screwdriver tip!

That said, if Virgil is making a run of similar product, I want in as well. I just got a new gun rig and would love something with a dark handle and black sheath to go with.  Please keep us posted Virgil, and I am in no hurry.

:)

Mine might have been made on a Monday by a temp with a hangover, but it couldn't be called a knife the way it came and the tip was shaped like a football and didn't fit any kind of screw I've ever seen!

:D   Virg, if your screwdriver knives are anything like the one Elkhorn Ernie won for the Clean Shoot Drawing I know they will be a big hit.  Put me on your list.
