There is no easy way to say this: Roger passed away at about 7:00 pm Thursday. I was at work and the nurse got in touch with me just before I was ready to leave for home. I was with him at lunchtime and we took a little stroll outside before I had to leave to get ready for work. Apparently he had supper in the dining room and things were good. He was wheeled back to his room and the nurse stopped in his room a few minutes later and found him slumped in his chair. He had a couple of bad days this week but seemed to be doing pretty good today. His struggles are over now. Service will take place on Wed. Sept. 6, 2017 4-7:00 pm in Lodi.<br />
