Update from the NRA Convention

The first two days of the convention were awesome! I cannot begin to count how many folks came by the SASS booth. Many came to see the Judge Roy Bean, have their picture taken with him, take his picture, shake his hand, get his autograph, etc. You get the picture. He was a magnet and also worked hard talking to current and prospective members, signing up new members, and just being a delight to be around. I'm not sure of the count but at day's end, I believe we were close to having nearly 20 new SASS members and 25 or so who were very interested. One guy even lives in Delavan and promised to come out and see us tomorrow morning. Several others said they would stop in tomorrow or at the June match. And, many others were interested in other area SASS affiliated clubs in WI and IL. So, all in all, it was highly successful and that is due to all the wonderful volunteers who willingly gave up their valuable time to come staff the booth and "sell" cowboy action shooting. And, we had many other current SASS members/cowboys show up during the two days just to say hi and chat with whoever was in the booth at the moment.<br />
