Most of the time change is good but, in this case, it also brings some sadness. I have accepted a full time position with a corporation in Idaho. I will be relocating there so I can assume my responsibilities on October 2. That means I have a lot of planning to do as well as packing, etc. so my final SASS shoot in the area will be tomorrow, Sept. 2, at Beloit. I hope to see all of my CAS friends there so I can shake your hand and thank each of you for introducing me to a sport in which I will participate all my life. I have already checked out the SASS clubs in Idaho and there are several very close to where I will be. In fact, it looks like I can shoot every weekend (sometimes even both days) if I want from April through November.<br />
<br />
For my SASS friends who will not be at Beloit tomorrow, I wish you the very best and hope the Great Spirit watches over you all your days until time to attend the big shootout in the sky.<br />

There are so many of you who have made my time in CAS one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. And, able to do all of this with my son Brad, Lt. B. R. Sharps, has made it all the more special/fun. My very special thanks go out to: Pair-A-Dice, E Z Munny, Dangerous Denny, Kocheese, Push the Button Wyatt, Dam Road Mike, Blue Moon Johnny, Holly Moon, Snapshot, Colt Wesson, Tootsie Pop, Turkey Legs, One-Eyed Kid, Huckleberry, Jeweler Jim and his twins, W.B.S.E., Morgan Daniels, Johnny Ronquillo, Anna Montana, Longtooth, and Wrangler Rich. Each of you are very special people and I cannot thank you enough for your friendship, quidance, sense of humor and fine example of living the cowboy way.<br />

Best of luck to you in your new position. Hope you find Idaho as beautiful and interesting as it is supposed to be. We will, of course, miss you around here, but there's nothing that says that you can't come back here for a visit now and then. Nor that we might not visit you out in Idaho.

I just got back from taking the Sicilian Kid to college and had to miss the shoot at Beloit. Double disappointed now that I did. They do have computers out there so you can continue to harass and regale us with your words of wisdom. For that matter, even dieing don't get you out of this posse. Just think of the move as a scouting party for the posse.<br />

Thanks all you cowboys and cowgirls for your kind words and wishes. I really had a blast yesterday at Beloit. Tooth, when you were holding the outhouse door closed with your foot, that was unexpected but the kind of fun I have come to expect with the GGP. I'm glad I got to shake so many hands and offer thanks to so many. We had a superb posse that made my final shoot in the area something very special. I still have the dates on my calendar when shoots are held at Oconomowoc, Bristol and KK so I'll know when you are all together again, laughing, heckling, and banging steel. On those days, I will be with you from afar. BTW, the Lt. will be staying here to finish his senior year at Oregon High School and he says he may come out to a shoot when he can. I'll have the gun cart with me so if he could share someone's cart, that would be great.<br />

Muddy & Sharps ya good ol PARDS..... I=We will miss you at the shoots and just knowing you will be there. God bless your travels and endevor to the fullest. looks like I'll need to get to Idaho to see you and my old pal John (about 80yrs old now) A true moutian man John is. Built a log home out of local timber and by his self spends weaks in the mountians with only a shelter half and dry food, elk hunting and mountian lake fishing. Told me he'd rather go up there with the Wolfs than in an old peoples home. Hope you see him as you will like him. When I call him he is reloading or spliting fire wood or sittin on his porch lookin at the mountians. Now I have another reason to make it to Idaho. Blessings, Huck
