Trip to the Ortho surgeon...

Going down to the city the middle of next week to probably schedule the knee replacement. Just love the drugs they hand out and they won't give me any unless I get some more replacement parts. <br />

On the bright side, my surgeon says I'm just like a computer. <br />

On the flip side while I started out with lots of drive and plenty of memory, the drive slowed and almost disappeared along with major problems in the memory department. Luckily like the computer we can get replacement parts: upgrade the memory with a chicken brain, drive upgrade to the hamsters on the treadmill and to go along with the hips a new knee. <br />

New color as the green would make even my stomach turn with this new color scheme.

Fortunately, the "new" color scheme won't last - it's just the default until I get everything rebuilt. Then we'll be back to normal and you can use your sick green font again.<br />

Thanks DD. Although I did notice that my color has been eliminated from the available list. Good thing I remembered the number associated with the color to call it up. In all honesty, I haven't even reached that area yet. I'm still working on the obvious things, but it is a long haul. This update is a completely different set of templates and each has to be modified. It will take awhile but it will be worth it in the end.

Knowing how backed up Dr. Wixson is, you will probably schedule in shooting season. I suppose late fall would work though. :hi: <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shok.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shok:' />

As far as PT for the knee is concerned, can't do it. It's to the point that any PT results in the inability to walk afterwards. Bone on bone and is the reason that I'll have it replaced. Just using the snow blower the other day had me gimping around since then. I realize that this is tougher than what the hips where but I'll just have wait until after.<br />

As far as scheduling I'm hoping to get it done way before fall. If I have to sit at the check in table, so be it. To the point now that I really have to get it done as soon as he can fit me into the schedule (that or move up to RX pain killers). Maybe Griselda (assistant) can be talked into squeezing me into his surgery schedule in the next couple of months.

Didn't know that you had replacement parts. While I've had a number of "reworks", this will be my third replacement part. I might not be able to win or even place in any of the categories of shooting classes, but it is my plan to be the one with the most replacement parts. That one I think I can win.

When I did my knees they offered me the option to fill in if someone cancelled, but it really puts your life out of whack.
