Our September match was postponed because the earlier rains set back our construction schedule. We'll now have our inaurural match on Oct 20th & 21st. We know that Beloit is shooting on the 20th and Plainfield on the 21st. We don't want to go into competition with either of these fine matches, so we thought we'd have a match both days so folks could still shoot Beloit or Plainfield and visit us on the other day. We won't be making a habit of this as our regular scheduled matches will be on the 4th Sunday, although we may have some special matches throughout the year.<br />

Don't forget, our Annual Cowboy Banquet is on Oct 27th and our Halloween Match is on Oct 28th.<br />

We have two different landowners involved with our range - one who owns the range property and one who owns the farm and the road we travel to the range. Please do NOT try to go out to the range except for scheduled matches and work days. The owner of the farm gets upset - and rightly so - if folks wander unannounced through his property. He doesn't know who you are or what your intentions are. So, please do not go out to the range except for announced work and match days. Please respect the privacy and private property of the folks who are kind enough to give us access through their property.

JJ and others have been beating me about the head and shoulders over a trivial little mistake (only one number off!) in the range address. JJ tells me it is #10573 NOT 10473. So please correct your address. I'll correct the flyer soon.<br />

Sheesh! Now I hear they are planning to tar and feather me at the first match over this. It's not like I never made a mistake before. Well, that should draw a crowd!<br />

I was thinking more along the lines of letting you run back and forth behind the berm shield with everyone missing the targets on purpose during the shoot. We could also have multiple shooters at the line while we're during this.

Seriously folks, I don't know how many of us (especially the workers) will be fit enough to shoot both days, but even if you can't shoot both days come on out and take a look at your new range. Pictures don't do it justice and it will continue to improve when we have the entire off season to tweak and otherwise fine tune the layout. A visit to the range will give you something to talk about at the banquet if we run out of lies to tell that night.
