How to Get to the Dry Gulch Ranch Cowboy Range

Hope to see you there!!

Long range Cowboy side matches

Proposed rifle
I have an chance to acquire a Winchester Mod. 94 30-30 cal. rifle with a 20 " barrel.
It's the "Golden Spike" special edition. It came out in 1969. It's never been fired and
as far as I can tell it's in perfect shape. No apparent rust. I'm not one to collect guns,
I'd rather shoot them. Would this be a good selection for long distance Cowboy side
matches at our tournaments? The info card indicates a 6 round magazine capacity. I've
never shot a side match.

We would lke to get some longer-range side matches going. Hopefully, we'll get some fun ones going this summer. We plan to hold them Saturday afternoon so they don't conflict with the regular match. So far, we haven't decided on exactly what and how we are going to do it. Oconomowoc has long range side matches after every shoot and they are a lot of fun. The mod 94 in 30-30 was a legal gun for SASS side matches although it may have changed in the new proposed rules.
