EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE <br />
Every day, I am asked “Why don’t these people understand?” (Referring to the anti-gun mob). The answer is simple. They do not want to understand. They do not like people like you and me. In fact, they hate people like you and me. They want to neutralize us politically, stigmatize us socially, and isolate us culturally. They fear us. Why? Because you and I own guns and people who own guns are beholden to no one! <br />
<br />
It is up to each one of us to thwart the gun controllers. To do that we must be politically active. In the coming weeks our resolve will be tested again and again. Do not give up or give in. Just keep working, just keep calling, and just keep recruiting new ISRA members. There are over 1,530,000 FOID Card holders in Illinois. If they were all ISRA members, the conversation in Springfield would be much different. We all have plenty of prospects for recruitment, so let’s get busy. <br />
