Update on Longdrink

Just a quick update for all you wonderful folks who have been praying for Longdrink and sending your well-wishes. Last weeks PET scan at the half way point of chemo showed significant improvement. He has 5 more chemo treatments to endure before a complete remission of his Hodgkin's lymphoma is declared but he is well on his way to beating the BIG C.<br />

Longdrink returned to work two weeks ago (it was that or lose his health insurance). It's taking a toll but he's doing it! It's been a long, hard road but with the good wishes and prayers of friends we're making it through it and coming out stronger! He isn't up to shooting yet but hopes to get to a match or two just to visit!<br />

Our sincere thanks to everyone for their support and friendship. A great big thank you to Big Grit and Dangerous Denny for lifting our spirits when they were at their lowest!! <br />
Thank you all again for your messages of encouragment. They mean more than you know!<br />

Sure good to hear that our good Pard, Longdrink, is doing well. We sure miss him at the shoots and look forward to his return!

I hope that I'm not being presumptuous, but I hope that you will feel free to call upon any and all of the posse for any assistance that might be rendered. A number of us are pretending to be retired so we have the time and I think that this outfit would be more than willing to do anything they can to help out. The key will be letting us know where and when so we don't feel like we're imposing on you. So if there is something we might do, give a call or put up a post on the hitching post.

Thank you for keeping us up to date on his road back. Glad to hear that he is starting to feel better and the chemo seems to be doing it's job.

I am so glad to hear that Longdrink is doing well. He has been in our prayers since the beginning. I hope he does make it to a few shoots even if it is only to visit b/c we sure do miss his jokes and positive attitude!<br />
