Was to lazy to drag my sorry butt up there this week end Mike. Stayed in the basement and loaded shells for the upcoming season.

How was the turn out?
  • NOT A SOUL showed up for the class. Pretty much a wasted trip for me and my crew. I had asked that people interested to contact me so I could guage the interest. Nobody contacted me ahead of time, But nobody contactd me last time we helld a class and there were 15 people at that class. I hung around the range for awhile then headed home to do yard work.
Kinda disappointed me but what can you do, It WAS a beautiful day though.
Regards
Kinda like SASS's response to my and your trying to get the "Black Badge." That is to say, NO response. Limited access to getting RO II qualified and now no interest in even getting the RO I qualification. I'm sure about one month into the season we'll be getting the question "When are you going to hold RO classes?"

Oh well, thanks for trying Mike.

That's a real shame Stoney. I believe that anyone who wants to shoot at a SASS-sponsored match should be required to take the ROI class. I learned a lot when I took both the ROI and ROII classes. They are both well worth one's time and they provide the basis for not only having more fun at a SASS shoot but also give you the low down on the rules that lead to a safer match.

Thanks for your efforts, Mike. It was a true example of the "Cowboy Way." But it does sort of speak to why I'm not so anxious to set up any classes - especially ROIIs with all the extra work - unless I'm reasonably certain a minimum number of folks will be there. It's a lot of work for nothing if folks don't attend when it's offered and then they complain during the busy season that you aren't setting one up for their convenience.

Thanks again!
